About Sebastian:
Sebastrian Dirr was born in 1964 in Erlangen. After high school graduation and university studies in Music Science, he trained as an apprentice bow maker in the workshops of Roderich Paesold in Bubenreuth from 1988 until 1990, and then worked there for another 7 years. In 1993 he successfully passed the master craftsman examination in bow making, administered by the chamber of commerce Crafts and Trades of the Coty of Nuremburg.
In 1997, he worked for Richard Grunke where ge was active in the production of new bows, and also did major repair work.
Fro. 2001, Sebastian has been self employed opening his own studio in Erlangen. He is one of the founding members of the International Pernambuco Convservation Initiative (I.P.C.I.) of which one of the goals is to plant new Pernambuco trees in cooperation with scientists in Brazil.
