A beautiful violin by Italian maker Maurizio Tadioli in 2006. It is based on the "il Cannone" Guarneri del Gesù that formerly belonged to Paganini.
About Maurizio:
Maurizio Tadioli was born in Cremona, Italy, on September 16, 1967. He began studying violin making as a child with guidence from his grandfather Carlo Pizzamiglio, a self taught luthier. He attended the Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria in Cremona, earning the highest grades and obtaining his diploma in 1985. When crafting his instruments, Tadioli normally follows the classical Cremonese models. He also has great interest in the Emiliana, Torinese, and Milanese schools.
His work has recieved many awards, including the Bagnacavallo Concorso Giovani Liutai gold medal for violin in 1984 and the V Triennale di Cremona well placed violin award in 1988. In 1997, Tadioli won the special prize “CONTI BRANCA” for his a viola at the Concorso di Baveno. One of his baroque instruments is on display at the museum of the International Violin Making School in Cremona.
In September 2010, he became a member of the jury of the International Violin Making Competition of Pisogne, joining makers of international fame including Antonio Capela, Carlo Vettori, and Tibor Semelweiss. For many years, he has taught at the Violin Making School of Cremona. 
He currently works in Cortetano, a small village near Cremona. He is still a practicing musician, and he accompanies many religious choirs and orchestral groups in Cremona and the surrounding area.
