A beautiful 1630 Maggini Model 16 ¼ (412mm) Viola by Louis Kupersmith. It features a very warm and penetrating sound that is projecting, deep, and powerful. It was exhibited at the Contemporary Violin Makers Exhibition and Concert April 29th, 2023.
About Louis:
Louis Kupersmith relocated to Fort Collins, 
Colorado from the drift less region of 
Wisconsin. He is an experienced luthier, 
doing restoration work for private shops, 
and repairs for symphony and orchestra 
players across the country. He is known for 
his high quality work and his attention to 
detail. While formally trained as a restorer, 
he is also a maker. For over thirty years he 
has been working for reputable dealers 
throughout the country.
