About Mougenot:

Mougenot returned to France, working in Lyon and Paris and later at the London firm of W.E. Hill & Sons. In 1899 he finally returned to his hometown of Mirecourt, where he set up a shop that trained over 65 French and foreign makers in the course of its history, and produced an enormous number of instruments along the way.
