An exquisitely antiqued violin by Léa Trombert, made in 2023 on the Testore model. It has a very powerful and colorful tone, with a robust feeling in the string. The violin was exhibited in the Inaugural Bay Fine Strings Contemporary Violin Makers Exhibition and Concert April 29th 2023, and a copy of the published catalog will be included with this violin.
About Léa Trombert
During her training at the École de Lutherie de Mirecourt from 2009 to 2012, Léa did not hesitate to travel the world to enrich her knowledge, notably in Melbourne in the workshop of Alex Grant and in New York at "Rare Violins of NY".
In 2012, she continued her journey to Venice, where she refined her apprenticeship in manufacturing with Gregg Alf for a year, then moved to London to work as a subcontractor for luthiers John Dilworth and Florian Leonhard.
Based in Lyon since 2014, she devotes herself exclusively to the manufacture of quartet instruments.
